You haven't bricked your Thinkpad, but you may want to clear Windows off of it, and the process is the same.
Unfortunately, the format program is not included on the usual "Windows startup" floppy, so unless you have it in your collection of old disks, you will have to find one Acer 4406eu the net, or get freedos.
